Sasha Graham's Tarot Card a Day Blog

Tarot Inspired Drinks!

I’ve just come from the 2008 Readers Studio. The Readers Studio is a fabulous annual four-day Tarot conference created by Wald and Ruth Ann Amberstone of The Tarot School. There were lectures, classes, workshops and readings galore with all sorts of Tarot professionals, authors and artists.

I created a specialty drink menu for the weekend with all Tarot themed drinks and thought I’d share. Invite your Tarot friends over for a cocktail party or serve these drinks along with a little Tarot lesson to friends and family. Each concoction is specially suited for the meaning of each card.

The Tarotini

Look like your fabulous intuitive self while sipping this delicious martini:

1 ounce melon liquer

1 ounce vodka

2 ounce pineapple juice

1 dash grenadine

Shake all ingredients and pour into chilled martini glass, straight up.

The Hanged Man

See the world in a whole new way after sipping this tasty concoction of:

1 cup lemonade

1/2 cup club soda

1 teaspoon sugar

dash lemon juice

1 jigger vodka

Shake all ingredients and pour on the rocks.

Up all night reading Tarot? Energize yourself with this delicious mixture of:

3/4 oz. brandy

1/4 oz. Kahlua

Combine and fill with coffee

You’ll look like death warmed over tomorrow morning if you indulge in:

1/2 oz vodka

1/2 oz triple sec

1/2 oz amaretto

1/2 oz. southern comfort

1/2 oz. sloe gin

Shake all, pour over rocks and top with splash Sambuca and O.J.

What a balancing act! Treat yourself to all of the flavor and none of the alcohol with a

Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri .

  1. This is so cool. I was intoxicated and charmed by the Tarot themed drinks available at the Readers’ Studio bar. I’m delighted to know they were your idea and like Corinne, delighted that you shared the recipes.
Perhaps you should work on the whole major Arcana?
